Rob asks all new clients to attend an Initial Consultation, which lasts one and a half hours and aims to help him understand your goals, while you start to become aware of your own body's current limitations, and learn exercises to address them.

It will consist of the following:

  • Review of Client Enrolment Form - covering your medical history, occupation, sports/hobbies and the personal goals you wish to achieve from your Pilates sessions
  • Postural Assessment
  • Movement Assessment
  • Introduction to basic principles / exercises


What next?

Rob will also discuss what will be the most appropriate approach for you; possible options include:

  • Regular Mat Classes
  • Regular Mat Classes and occasional Private Lessons (to target specific exercises/issues using the machines)
  • Regular Private Lessons
  • Less Regular Private Lessons with a Tailored Homework Programme

If you are joining a Mat Class, you may also need to attend a further Private Lesson to ensure that you understand the exercises sufficiently before you join the group.
